Fruitful Cooperation: Thailand's Airlines and Airports Team Up for a Taste of Home Thai airlines, airports, and government agencies have collaborated to offer passengers the opportunity to check in up to 10kg of fresh fruit free of charge at 20 airports across the country.
The program, which runs for a year, aims to support domestic tourism, promote Thai produce, and provide farmers with new channels for distribution.
The partnership between seven airlines – Thai Airways International, Thai AirAsia, Bangkok Airways, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air, Thai Vietjet Air, and EZY Airlines – and the Transport Ministry's Department of Airports is a prime example of how public private cooperation can yield tangible benefits.
