This year marks its 20th anniversary, with Bruce Springsteen, Jon Stewart, and Hasan Minhaj set to perform at Lincoln Center on November 9th as part of the New York Comedy Festival.
The event was conceived in 2007 by Bob Woodruff and his wife Lee, an ABC News correspondent who has been instrumental in shaping Stand Up for Heroes into what it is today.
